Sure all the talk is always about Edward, Bella, and Jacob but we can’t forget the other characters in the Twilight Saga now can we?
Be warned though that if you haven’t read the books or anything then you may be SPOILED a little later in this article.
Eonline caught up with Jackson Rathbone recently to have a few words about the incredibly popular film franchise. He has been busy the past few months with the release of The Last Airbender and Eclipse. Rathbone plays the role of Jasper Hale.
Sure he’s busy, but he is more than ready to get back on the set with Bella herself, Kristen Stewart.
“I can’t wait, it’s always a reunion. I’m really looking forward to seeing Bella’s transformation, that’s one of the things that has been building up for a while.”
So Jasper is ready to see the goody-goody Bella finally transform into the species of her possible true love.
“I’m excited to see how Kristen Stewart really works with that. That’s going to be fun, she’s an incredible actress and, I know this is a pun, but she’s chomping at the bit in order to play that transition.”
Word is that the often mostly all audiences friendly rated films may have to bump up a step in order to keep one particular sex scene from hitting the cutting room floor.”
Rathbone laughingly said, “I think it’s going to have to be PG-13, I don’t know how they’re going to keep it PG. (Screenwriter) Melissa Rosenberg herself has told us there is going to be sex in this movie. I can’t wait. It’s in the books and I mean they’re married, they gotta consummate that relationship.”
As are many actors and actresses when their long-term roles come to an end, Rathbone is rather sad and disappointed that the release date for the second chapter of Breaking Dawn has been revealed.
“It’s one of the sad aspects of Breaking Dawn being the last two chapters of the film series, it was always a family reunion we all go out we all have fun. It’s sad to see it go. (Twilight) has done so much for me in terms of broadening my audience and my art form. Hell I always wanted to play a vampire, it’s cool. It’s been really fun.”
Rathbone has ideas though and thinks the Saga may be able to continue, but with some slight alterations to the main focus.
“Honestly, I would do like Twilight Saga: Origins, Jasper’s back story. I’ll sign up! I’d get to play an angry civil war vampire again.”
