When Breaking Dawn finishes filming its two parts, that’ll be the end of The Twilight Saga on the big screen. Or will it? Rumors are floating around that Summit wants to turn The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner into a movie, as well. What’s Playing says:
“It goes without saying Summit want to continue this franchise… Tanner is the one they’re looking at post-Breaking Dawn”, we were told in an email.
Pushing for more information, our tipster said “It’s too early to talk casting, and everything we’re hearing is just speculation or off a wish list, but I don’t believe they plan on using the original actress, Jodelle Ferland, for the spin-off film. It’s all about numbers and names – you guys know that.
The source says Chloe Moretz or Elle Fanning are on the shortlist to play Bree. But take it with a grain of salt. After all, the climax of Bree is basically the climax of Eclipse from a slightly different angle, which would be impossible to re-create…especially with a different actress. It would be interesting, but a movie version is still a long shot until we hear anything else.
