FORKS -- A midnight release of the "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" DVD will have a bevy of fans flocking to this Twilight-famous town Friday.
The DVD will be officially released at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, but events, including music by the Mitch Hansen Band and other Twilight-related festivities, will be available throughout the night.
Movies may be pre-ordered on the Dazzled by Twilight store's website, www.dazzledbytwilight.com.
The Mitch Hansen Band will play beginning at 9 p.m. at the Twilight Lounge, 81. N. Forks Ave., before fans head back to Dazzled by Twilight, 11 N. Forks Ave., to pick up the film.
The special Forks edition of the DVD with exclusive local artwork is available from the store by pre-order.
The movie is the third in the series based on the four fictional books about Forks teen Bella Swan and her vampire boyfriend Edward Cullen.
In "Eclipse," an evil vampire, Victoria, creates an army of "newborn" -- or newly made -- vampires to enact revenge on the Cullens, who killed her mate, James, in the first movie and book, Twilight.
The DVD releases for both "Twilight" and "New Moon" brought hundreds of fans to Forks to pick up the movie in the town in which the saga is set.
None of the filming for any of the movies has taken place in Forks, however.
The last book, Breaking Dawn, is being made into two movies and is currently being filmed in British Columbia, with release expected in November 2011 and November 2012.
More than 70,000 fans have visited Forks this year to see the town that is home to the best-sellers and blockbusters.
The Port Angeles Walmart Supercenter, which is open 24-hours a day, will also release the DVD at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.
