While the third season of True Blood isn’t set to premiere on HBO until June 2010, it appears HBO is already building onto the cast of the series, bringing in a former Prison Break cast member to play someone’s long lost brother. Spoilers ahead!
If you’re caught up on HBO’s bloody-fantastic vampire series then you know that when the second season ended, Sam Merlotte, Bon Temps’ resident shape-shifter was looking to track down his birth parents. It looks as though he’s going to learn that he’s got a younger brother as Prison Break’s Marshall Allman has been cast to play the role of Tommy Pickens. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Allman’s character works at a Tire Depot in Arkansas. There’s no mention of whether or not Sam’s little bro has any special powers of his own but I’m sure we’ll find out once the character’s introduced.
In addition to Prison Break, Allman’s acting credits include a recent guest-starring role on AMC’s Mad Men and FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
