Surrounded by thousands of screaming girls or a night of good old fashioned rock 'n' roll?
For Kristen Stewart it was always going to be a no-brainer where she would be spending her St Patrick's Day night.
While her boyfriend Robert Pattinson was fighting his way through a legion of adoring fans in London last night, Kristen was on the other side of the pond attending the premiere of her new film in New York.
Kristen, 19, was at the city's Landmark Sunshine Theater for the screening of The Runaways, a biographical drama about the 70s all-girl rock band of the same name which was fronted by Joan Jett.
Kristen, who plays the legendary musician, was joined by co-star Dakota Fanning, who plays Jett's fellow band member Cherie Currie.
And to give the night that rock 'n' roll element, Joan Jett, 51, and Cherie Currie themselves arrived to support the young stars, who they have grown close to since shooting on the film began.
And if Kristen was missing her boyfriend and Twilight co-star, she certainly didn't show it as she happily posed for the cameras.
Looking stunning in a short, strapless metallic printed dress, her hair tied back with the front quiffed up, she flashed her best rock chick sneer at the waiting press.

The film, which is out in the US tomorrow but has yet to be given a UK release date, tells the story of how Jett, 51, founded The Runaways along with drummer Sandy West.
She and former band member Cherie, who also attended last night, is said to have been a huge help to Kristen and Dakota throughout the filming of the biopic.
And even at the age of 51, Jett's rock chick persona is showing no sign of leaving her as she arrived at the premiere in the signature rock 'n' roll colour of black, looking more like Kristen's older sister than a woman old enough to be her mother.
Kristen has been doing the rounds in the States promoting the film, last week appearing on the Jay Leno show.
On Tuesday she showed Pattinson what he was missing by being thousands of miles away as she appeared on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show, flaunting her enviable figure in a skintight mini dress.
