Twilighters, get ready to rock! The complete track listing for the Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s soundtrack is now available for your perusal. June 8th is the album release date, but fans can pre-order when ready. That’s why it is already a bestseller!
Since the first Twilight film’s soundtrack, each album has only gotten better. The rocker girl sounds of Paramore perfectly captured a heart under siege by a Cullen, while Muse’s “Supermassive Black Hole” made the infamous baseball scene complete. “Full Moon” by the Black Ghosts, also on that first album, for me, made Forks real.
It was probably tough to top cuts from the voice of oh so pretty R-Pat himself, but sheer star power made the second film’s soundtrack shine. The score composition baton was passed from Carter Burwell, who had brought us the contagious “Bella’s Lullaby”, to the prolific Alexandre Desplat. Desplat flexed his musical muscle by offering “New Moon (The Meadow)”. Thom Yorke, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, and some heavy-hitting indie talent all made the New Moon soundtrack great. Muse lent “I Belong to You (New Moon Remix)” and there was even some singing in Quileute.
The track listing for the Eclipse soundtrack reveals yet another Muse song. This time Stephenie Meyer’s favorite band gives us “Nuetron Star Collision (Love is forever)”. Band of Horses insures the continuation of an indie presence. I’m excited to see Sia listed here. The woman’s gruff, honest voice is the raw stuff of real romance. The Bravery is sure to bring a beat and oh my, Jack White’s The Dead Weather track might just be haunting. We’ll have to wait and see! The film itself makes it way into theaters and IMAX June 30th. For up to the minute Eclipse coverage, like the Twilight cast on Oprah, keep it right here.
