Although nothing has been confirmed when it comes to 2011's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn following in Harry Potter's footsteps and being split into two movies, it seems salary disputes are already underway among the cast. More surprisingly, it's not superstars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, or Taylor Lautner kicking up a fuss — it's supporting Cullen actors Kellan Lutz (Emmett) and Ashley Greene (Alice).
Rumor has it salaray negotiations are currently happening for Breaking Dawn: Part 2, which would be the fifth, and presumably final, movie in Summit's multi-million dollar franchise. The three leads are all set to get a payraise, which will come as no big revelation to anyone. RPattz, Taycob, and KStew are big business these days, with Summit no doubt prepared to pay any amount to keep them on board the Twilight train.
We're not quite sure why Lutz and Greene are chasing hefty pay rises — they're hardly major players when it comes to the movies. The Cullen siblings might be important in the books, but on the silver screen, they're lucky to each get a handful of lines. For a franchise that launched their careers into the stratosphere, we don't think they're in any position to haggle over salaries. Would they rather get paid more, or be recast for the final chapter?
If Summit and the actors involved can't solve this amicably, chances are we'll see a new Emmett and Alice in the second part of Breaking Dawn. The fan revolt would surely reach new heights — in fact, we can see the petitions already starting to form. Is this something you'd be okay with, Twilighters?
