| Taylor Lautner shows off his impressive six-pack in new photoshoot as he admits he struggles with fame
Taylor Lautner is one of the most famous young actors in the world thanks to his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight film franchise.
With his jet black hair and smouldering eyes, Lautner was always going to be a hit with his female fans, but it wasn't until he went shirtless in The Twilight Saga: New Moon that he cemented his spot as one of Hollywood's new generation of heart-throbs.
And now the 18-year-old actor has stripped off for a new photoshoot ahead of the release of new movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Dressed in a pair of jeans and trainers, and sipping from a water bottle, Lautner succeeds in looking both casual and sexy in the shots taken by renowned photographer Mario Testino for GQ magazine.
But while the new photographs are sure to whip up his millions of female fans into a frenzy, Lautner admits he often struggles with the amount of attention he receives as a result of his role as Jacob Black.
Recalling one incident where he and co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were trapped in a hotel room in Brazil when a large group of fans managed to get past security, Lautner said: 'We were in lockdown in this little room for 45 minutes waiting for the SWAT team to arrive.
'We said to each other, "Let's say they get into this room. What are they going to do? Tear us to shreds? What do they want?" '
And if the fear of the intense fan attention wasn't enough, Lautner also has to cope with the high-pitched screaming he encounters virtually everywhere he goes.
He joked: 'When I was the New Moon tour, I took Advil painkillers. Preventively.'
But he says despite sometimes struggling with fame, he is learning to cope.
Referring to paparazzi, he told GQ magazine: 'There's some things you just have to live with.
'Like 12 cars camping outside your house, and when you wake up in the morning, they're going to follow you wherever you go. It helps that I live in Valencia. It eliminates some. But they're still here.'
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is released in the UK on July 9th.
