Oh, this morning must be a wonderful one for Up In The Air star Anna Kendrick ("Jessica Stanley" in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse).
Just a few moments ago, the nominees for "Best Supporting Actress" for this year's Academy Awards were announced, and Kendrick was one of them!
To repeat: Anna Kendrick has been nominated for "Best Supporting Actress" for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards.
As predicted, Mo'Nique (Precious), Kendrick's co-star in Up In The Air Vera Farmiga, Penelope Cruz (Nine), and Maggie Gyllenhaal join Kendrick on the nominees list.
Kendrick's Oscar nomination adds to her SAG Award nomination, her Golden Globe nomination, her BAFTA nomination, and her Critic's Choice Award nomination, among others (as this year, it has been the season for recognition of this young lady's work).
Kendrick has been awarded the Palm Springs International Film Festival "Rising Star" Award, and she has also won the National Board of Review Award for "Best Actress."
Many have speculated that Kendrick would become an Oscar nominee for her work in Up In The Air, and, today, they have been proven correct. Her work in the film has been a thing of celebration for the film industry over the past few months, and it all boils down to one moment . . . Thanks to this morning's announcement, Anna Kendrick will potentially get to see hers on March 7th.
What an unbelievable accomplishment!
