Anna Kendrick has a small yet important role in the Twilight franchise; she plays Jessica Stanley, the best friend of Bella Swan. While her onscreen time is limited to shopping and school scenes, her presence is felt throughout the series. With the instant success Anna Kendrick scored for her role in Up In The Air alongside George Clooney, could the fate of Jessica be in trouble for Breaking Dawn?
Due to the outcry of attention for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, Twilight human star Anna Kendrick was able to slip under the radar. Her name hit the twi-sphere every once and awhile but she was never the focus of too much attention. Her innate fashion sense got the attention of fashion bloggers but the star's Twilight status never hit the RPattz level.
That was not the case in Hollywood. Did you know that Up In The Air director and writer Jason Reitman wrote the role of Natalie specifically for Anna? And just this summer, Seth Rogen and James McAvoy wanted Anna for their untitled comedy from Mandate Pictures. Anna told Reuters she got the role without even having to audition stating, "I'm not a really good auditioner, so it took a lot of the load off me."
The Oscar nominee spoke about her future in the Twilight franchise. Kendrick said, "I honestly feel like Jessica is one of those characters that if she wasn't in the movie, nobody would miss her. At the same time, I feel a certain affection for the films so if they ask me, I would love to. I don't have my fingers crossed either way." So, as Twilight fans, what do you think of Jessica Stanley not being in Breaking Dawn?
