DAKOTA Fanning celebrated her 16th birthday Friday night.
The Twilight star — whose actual birthday is on February 23 — was joined by a small group of pals at Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills.
Dakota dined with around 40 guests to celebrate her big day.
Guests arrived around 7pm, and some of those attending included her parents and family as well as her friends.
“She looked like she was having fun and was really cool. She was talking to her friends and laughing all night,” a source said.
Fanning later enjoyed a three-tier birthday cake, the insider said.
