“I saw her driving in LA a few months ago and I was so star struck,” Fanning said. “I just think she’s so cool. I watched her show Miami Ink and I watch her new show LA Ink now. She’s so talented and such a great artist.”
After the surprise meeting Von D volunteered to work on the actress – but only in permanent marker because of a promise the actress made to her mum.
Fanning said: “When I was 11 she made me sign a contact and it says 'I will not ever get a tattoo'; and then there’s a little ‘x’ and a line - I had to sign my name and my sister had to do the same thing.”
