Actor Kellan Lutz, who plays vampire Emmet Cullen in The Twilight Saga films, has been cast to play the Greek god Poseidon in an upcoming film called War of the Gods.

Also starring in the movie will be Mickey Rourke and Freida Pinto. Production for the movie will start in April and is set to be directed by Tarsem Singh who was the filmmaker behind the sci-fi thriller The Cell.

In the meantime, you can catch Kellan in the Twilight Saga: New Moon newly released DVD and then in June when the highly anticipated Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens in theaters nationwide.
