In the upcoming “Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” Ashley Greene says the cast was pumped to perform most of their own stunts – literally!
“We had about six or seven weeks of training, and three hours of fight coordinating and a personal trainer on top of it to make sure we were in really good condition,” Ashley, who plays Alice Cullen in “The Twilight Saga” said in an interview on NBC’s “Today” show on Tuesday.
Ashley who refers to her character as the “vampire with the heart of gold,” explained that her kind can’t be seen breaking a sweat, adding, “Vampires aren’t really supposed to breathe or pant.”
The 23-year-old actress said she and her co-stars fought hard to show off their training on the big screen.
“We were basically begging to do our own stunts,” she continued. “We wanted it to be us, we wanted to be out there, we didn’t want them to have to cut away because it wasn’t our face, most of what you see is us.”
“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” opens in theaters on June 30.
