And NO Miley cannot play her!!! However, whenever I imagine her, I imagine Taylor Momsen, who I think would be perfect [from Gossip Girl] and she can sing/play guitar. PERFECT!

There's an actuall petition online somewhere against Miley playing her.
If you look on the fan site there's loads of threads discussing it.
It seem like practically everyone HATES the idea of her playing Laurel and alot aren't happy if Disney make it either.
Would be such kool films if a diff company make it and another actress plays Laurel!
Yeh she's play her well! She's got that sort of pixie ish look to her and delicate pretty features that Miley does not have XD lool xxx

Miley is SO unlike how she is described, I can't see why they have her to play Laurel? So strange!

Taylor would definately be better, she's very pixie like and with the long blonde hair etc, I think she'd be wwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

but hopefully now Miley's not doing Hannah Montana(puke) anymore maybe she wants to get away from anything disney. So don't want disney to make it either! Love disney for animations but not so much for the live action films xxx

Yeah that's true, although I like Pirates of the Carribbean, and think that's Disney.

But fingers crossed it gets made, but by different people and definately without Miley!!
